Timber Frame

Timber Frame Construction is not as new a method of construction as most people would think. Historically it is one of the earliest forms of building and the use of timber frame has grown steadily again in the last 40 years to become the preferred method of construction for many sectors in the building industry.

Timber Frame is used for developments from private self-build dwellings, commercial buildings, schools, hotels and social housing and has been seen to be cost effective, eco-friendly and efficient. At Fforest Timber Engineering Ltd we have experience in dealing with all of these types of development. We can also advise on insulation for use in achieving the necessary ‘U’ values required by the building designer.

Almost all of our timber is sourced from managed forests and so contributes greatly to the carbon footprint of the building and assists with achieving the target requirements.
